The Erasherheads opened the concert at 8:15 p.m. with their hit song "Alapaap" and proceeded to play classics such as "Ligaya," "Wag Mo Nang Itanong," "Fruitcake," among others.
More than 10 songs were played to eager fans at The Fort and around 9:30 p.m. the band took a 30-minute break. Forty minutes later, Buendia's sister went up to the stage to break the sad news.
"We regret to inform you that we have to cut the concert short. My brother had to be rushed to hospital because of emotional and physical stress he is experiencing," said Buendia's sister Lali to concert-goers.

maybe because his mother passed away
, talagang emotionally stress sya.
MANILA, Philippines - The mother Ely Buendia, the front man for the Filipino rock band Eraserheads, passed away on Thursday morning, a television report said.
A report from GMA News' 24 Oras said Ely, band vocalist, confirmed the death of his mother, Lisette Buendia, but refused to give further details about the incident.
Lisette, fondly called as Lola Titing, died amid the band's preparation for their much-awaited reunion concert on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Global City Open Field, in The Fort, Taguig City.
The report added that Sony BMG records came out with an assurance that the concert will push despite the unfortunate event.
