i recommend asus eee pc, select from different unit or if you want like mine, msi wind netbook.hp mini-note is expensive, but it's for your son naman....

he likes playin pc games? or goin to use it for home works, projects?

wow! hp mini. i also want this but im having second thoughts before. then yesterday nakita ko sya ulit saka ko lang naalala na gusto ko pala sya. you're son would probably appreciate it because the mini has a regular sized keyboard unlike yung ibang brands.

HP mini-note and MSI Wind are the only Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) with the bigger size of keyboard in the market as of today.

for research work and documents editing, go for the hp mini. if you're going to use it for graphics editing/games. it would be slow compared with the MSI Wind/Acer One. The Hp mini runs on a slower processor.

sorry-i will no longer recommend msi wind...my unit,,,always nag-bablack yung screen, since binili ko yon (1 year ago),i was already encountering that problem...but it's still functioning, ok pa naman, but sometimes na lang it will shut down automatically...i thought the next msi wind units will be ok since its specs was already upgraded...pero ganon pa din yung sakit niya...
